Action Pink Replacement Wheels with Aluminum Rim for Razor Kick Scooter 2/pk Review

Action Pink Replacement Wheels with Aluminum Rim for Razor Kick Scooter 2/pk
Average Reviews:

I received these "wheels" with fast and good service, but the product is not in any way usable. The wheels have a zig-zag tread design, which makes them vibrate very badly. They are very loud and slow down so fast it is like the wheel has abec 1 bearings in it, not abec 7. In short these "wheels" can't be used as wheels, not even for just going around the block. DO NOT BUY THESE WHEELS! I am an experienced trick scooter rider and scooter modifier.

I bought this as a gift for my 8 yr. old nephew and he absolutly loves it. I had seen a Mongoose bike for sale at Wal Mart for around $60.00, but you could instantly see the quality difference between this one and the cheaper bike. The price, $119.00 with free shipping was an excellant deal.

Classic BMX styling combined with a host of quality safety features make this a great bike for track and street riders. Equipped with a handcrafted Hi-Ten Boy's Team series frame and a handcrafted Hi-Ten jumping fork, the Mongoose Spin BMX bike is strong enough for off-road cycling, dirt jumping, and trick riding. The bike's front and rear U-brakes, meanwhile, offer all the braking power needed for safe, dependable stopping. Other details include front and rear axle pegs, a four-piece "knee-saver" handlebar, 20-by-2.125-inch black Jumper K-Rad tires, a large Mongoose Jumping saddle with stitches, alloy 48-hole hubs, a three-piece tubular crank set, and an A-head machined stem. The Mongoose Spin carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and fork.

About Mongoose In 1974, BMX Products, Inc., later to be known as Mongoose Bicycles, launched from a humble garage. The first of its kind, the BMX bicycle was named after bicycle motocross and was designed to fit the needs of the rough-and-tumble dirt-racing pastime that took its toll on wheels and bicycles. The heavy-duty, one-piece cast-aluminum Mongoose Motomag wheel was soon born, and it was the first competition-ready BMX bicycle available. Skip Hess, while in Australia pursuing his motor sports passion, came into contact with a strange and unusual cat-size animal--the mongoose. Known for its passive nature while unprovoked, yet vicious and aggressive enough to kill a threatening Cobra twice its size, the Mongoose impressed Hess, who quickly registered the Mongoose trademark for his new bicycle racing frame.
The Expert BMX bicycle model, which is still a cornerstone of the Mongoose BMX line today, was introduced in 1980. Shortly after, Mongoose captured the first ever ABA National #1 Cruiser Title. Previously known for the 20-inch bicycle, this title signaled the re-direction of Mongoose bicycles to larger-wheeled, adult-sized models. Several years later, Mongoose continues to dominate the cruiser racing circuit with six National No. 1 Cruiser titles, leading to the introduction of adult-sized Mongoose all-terrain bicycles (ATBs).
In 1992, Mongoose pioneered the full-suspension market with the introduction of the Amplifier. This design is still the most-copied suspension design in the market. Several year later, Mongoose launched the Newman adult bicycle frame, which is proven to be 15% stronger than any other bike frame in the market. The design, while functionally sound, also raised eyebrows because of its distinctive look.
In the next few years, Mongoose increased its marketing focus to dominate the bicycle industry, and more important, extend beyond it. The Mongoose brand marketing initiative makes more than 100 million impressions. Mongoose's brand awareness increased by over 130% in 1999 and solidifies the No. 2 market share position in units and dollars. Mongoose was acquired by Pacific Cycle, LLC, and continues to grow and prosper with more than 40 models of BMX, mountain, trail, freestyle, jumping, comfort, road, and cyclocross bikes.

We bought this for our 9 year old son for christmas last year. He loves it. All the kids from the block come over and ride on it. He is big for his age and fits on fine. My husband even rides this thing. My son has had a few crashes(nothing major/not fast enough) and the razor pocket rocket held up fine. The age guide line could start at 8 or 9 because its so little. We feel this is a great toy and so far worth the money.

Ok here we go. I wrote that review on the Honda Minimoto Dirtbike.I said how it was not good and how I purchased the Go Kart and the Maxxi and they also had problems. Read that review, the title is "TRUST ME READ THIS". I said to myself you know what im going buy the Razor MX500 Dirt Bike. WOW WHAT A GREAT BUY!!!!!! This thing is durable, safe, and fun. I recommend it for ages 8-15 years old. However there are reviews for other razor products about the battery life. Yes the battery life is not good, IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I followed the directions and my MX500's battery is fantastic. To have a good motor and battery follow these easy steps...
1. Take MX500 out of box CAREFULLY!
2. Assemble in order of the directions (If you follow them it will be assembled in 20 minutes).
3. Turn MX500 on and JUST FOR ONE SECOND TWIST THE THROTTLE just to make sure it works. (Do not ride just a flick of the throttle just to check).
4. Charge the MX500 overnight or for 12 or more hours (The key is to charge it for 12+ hours)
5. Take the charger out and go ride
If you follow these directions given your MX500 will be perfect.

At the same time, the bike's dual suspension and riser handlebars deliver a smooth and comfortable ride regardless of the terrain, so your teen's fun isn't restricted to flat pavement. As a final bonus, the Dirt Rocket's variable-speed, chain-driven motor is extremely quiet, a marked contrast to traditional gas-powered motocross bikes.

My 3 years old son loves it since he is a Cars freak. Nothing special about this bike other than it is blight red and it is a Lightning McQueen. Assembled easy, but the manual is worthless. Shipping box and packing material was not so good so some parts were sticking out of the box, but no damages were found. Weight distribution is excellent and trading wheel is adjustable. Over all this is an excellent safe bike for small children.

Well, 1st off, we got the bike on SALE. I see that the price is now back to normal, but regardless, this bike is wonderful! Putting it together was a snap! And, I am a single mom who worries about whether or not I will be able to piece these intricate boys' toys together! :) But, the bike was assembled in under a 1/2 hour and my son adores it! He is 3 years old and simply loves Spiderman. The bike not only looks cool to him, but it is sturdy, which is important to me. I think this is one of the best summer purchases we will make this year! I am sure we will get much more enjoyment out of this bike before he outgrows it in a few years.

Razor Dirt Quad Electric Four-Wheeled Off-Road Vehicle (Red) Review

Razor Dirt Quad Electric Four-Wheeled Off-Road Vehicle (Red)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is for everyone who gave this quad a bad review because the charge does not last more then five minutes or less. I purchased this dirt quad for my 8-year-old son and like some of you I was quite disappointed with the quad's charge longevity. The quad did not last five minutes before my son was wheeling it back into the garage for a charge, and it was brand new! At first I thought like the rest of you who experienced this same problem, "It was just an expensive piece of junk". But I noticed when the battery went dead and we put it on charge the light on the charger would go from red to green in just a few minutes, a lot less then the recommended charge time. So I figured maybe the charger was no good. Luckily we also own the Razor go-cart, which uses the same charger and always worked great. So I swapped out the chargers but the go-cart still charged fine. And the charger on the quad still turned from red to green in just a few minutes and still died out fast. So I went to Razor's website and contacted their customer support. They told me the problem sounded like a bad battery and explained that even though the quad is brand new it may have been sitting around in a warehouse for months, even years with the battery connected. If the battery goes a long time connected to the ATV and never on charge, the battery will eventually go bad. The battery should always stay on charge even when not used for long periods of time. They were right! They sent me a brand new battery free of charge, after I sent them a copy of my receipt proving I bought the quad within the warranty period, less then 90 days. As soon as we received the battery, I changed it out and all I can say is "what a change"! The quad is strong as can be and I could honestly say that even driving it up and down hills on rocky terrain the dirt quad lasts well past 30 minutes, about as long as my son lasts. And it still shows a full charge on the power indicator when he is done. It is like a completely different machine from the one we started out with. So to anyone here who thinks they got stuck with a piece of junk, go right to Razor before your 90 day warranty expires and file your complaint. They have an excellent customer service department and will contact you within 24 hours, you will not be sorry. I am very satisfied with Razor and even more satisfied every time I see my son's face now on his new dirt quad.

This is a great bike. My 11 year old son loves this bike and rides it almost everyday. The bike has a tremendous amount of power. I weigh 190# and it carried me well on an initial test drive. My 11 year old son who has been riding electric bikes for several years does terrific on this bike. He weighs 65 pounds and is 55" tall. The bike seems to be perfect for him based on his size and experience riding. The bike is interesting in that it is extremely powerful but size wise is designed for kids 9-12 years old. The box says 16 and up, which is ridiculous. The bike seems well designed and has a nice suspension system and dual disk breaks. The price is unbelievable for what you get but I would only recommend it for kids 9- 12 who have experience riding other powered bikes. The tires are pneumatic however they are very hard and knobby. They are fine for off road use but a slip out fast on slick pavement. Over all a great bike for experienced 9-12 year olds who have a non paved surface to ride on. We didn't experience any problems mechanically or electrically.

My 15 month old son loves this truck. He pulls it, pushes it, fills it up with toys, and can sit on it. The steering wheel makes great noises. We take it off and bring it in the car for him to play with while we travel. I see see him playing with this truck for a very long time. As he develops he will discover new ways to play with it and i'm hoping it will stay one of his favorites.

Picking up your mess is fun with the Scoot 'n Scoop 3-in-1 Ride-On with Revvin' Beepin' Wheel. This child-size Tonka truck from Playskool lets kids scoop up shape blocks with three different modes of play. Recommended for babies nine months old to three-year-old toddlers, this fun vehicle helps little ones transition from crawling, to walking, to riding. Three Fun Modes of Play Made with colorful, durable plastic construction, the Scoot 'n Scoop holds of child's play--and up to 42 pounds. The seat and gravel guard both detach from the truck body and snap in to different positions for a push mode, walk mode, and ride-on mode. With the seat in the up position, kids can easily push and pull the truck, and watch when moving forward as shape blocks get picked up in the dump bed. When the seat is down, these blocks fit into corresponding shapes on the seat. And of course, kids can sit on and ride the truck with the handle up or the steering wheel on. The Revvin' Beepin' Wheel starts with a turn of the purple key in the ignition, making funny engine noises and realistic road vibrations that turn off on their own. There's also an orange clicking gearshift, an adjustable blue mirror, directional blink lights, and a green horn with four different honking sounds. Drivers-in-training can play with the wheel attached to the truck or separately.Put to the Driver's Test The Scoot 'n Scoop is great for a range of young children--and though it's marketed toward boys, little girls will have fun with this toy too! While kids can play for a long time in any one of the truck's play modes, they're stuck in each one without a parent's help in moving the wheel, seat, and gravel guard. Attaching the gravel guard and seat is easy, but pressing both buttons down and lifting up at the same time to remove either is a pain and may require an extra hand. Parents will also have to attach the real axle with the included screw assembly. It only takes a minute and a small screwdriver, but adults should be careful to keep the small parts away from the kids. Children can throw their own toys in the dump bed, but the Scoot 'n Scoop only picks up the three included shape blocks. Just as much fun to play with on its own, the Revvin' Beepin' Wheel uses three AA batteries, which come included with the wheel. What's in the Box Truck, detachable wheel, 2 screws, 3 plastic blocks, and instructions.

The wheels work great!!
After my kids learned they could skid on their Razors, they did for a while. They then found out that skidding causes flat spots and then the razors are not fun to ride since they go bump bump bump.
The screws holding the wheels in are difficult to remove but after that it is a breeze.
Kids riding them again and having fun!!

Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter Review

Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This seated Razor scooter is very well constructed, and even though it has only been test-driven one time because of adverse weather conditions, it seems to reach an adequate top speed. However: if planning to purchase the E300S Razor, be aware that the scooter will only operate for a maximum of forty (40) minutes, after which it takes at least eight (8) hours of recharging to prepare it for another forty (40) minutes of use.
It is also noted in the directions that the two (2) 12 volt batteries can be recharged about 200 times before they have to be replaced. This means if the scooter is used and recharged every day, the batteries will have to be replaced in just a little over six (6) months. These are two things that need to be considered before making a purchase.

Mongoose Lark Girls' Bike (18-Inch Wheels) Review

Mongoose Lark Girls' Bike (18-Inch Wheels)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I would not recommend buying any Mongoose product, sight unseen, period. This is one of two different Mongoose bikes, purchased as a Christmas gifts, with both having the same issues. The bike arrived in the factory box, as Amazon indicates. Apparently, Mongoose has a rather amateurish concept of how to box anything so the contents don't shift around in transit, in this case, resulting in several scratches and paint chips in the brand new bike. Also, one of the ribbed grips was crushed/deformed due to the way it was strapped to the frame for shipping, and it is not rebounding back to the original shape. Nice Christmas gift for a grandchild, right? I contacted Mongoose "customer service" via their website e-mail link and fully explained the situation, requesting touch-up paint and a grip to just take care of the damage myself and avoid gift hassles. Their response? "Contact Amazon if there is shipping damage." I responded back that there was no "shipping damage" but internal damage due to their poor packaging of the bike components. Their response? Silence.
Stay away from Mongoose products unless you want to receive damaged merchandise, fresh out of undamaged factory packaging, due to their brain dead manner of internally "securing" the merchandise for shipping. Of course, it's always wonderful to get customer service from people who have no clue what that means.
BTW, I noted on their website an FAQ which included a Q/A addressing a question about obtaining touch-up paint for their bikes. The answer was "no, we don't supply touch up paint." They further advised going to a hobby store and trying to match the bike paint to plastic model paint. Nice response and product support.
