Bell Faction Chad Kagy Multi-Sport Helmet Review

I purchased this helmet on sale for $12.99 and it was a steal at that price. I use it for bike riding to avoid those ridiculous looking bike helmets. It serves its purpose very well. It also comes with additional foam liners in varying thicknesses so you can ensure a snug fit.

Bell Edge Youth Bicycle Helmet (Blue Rock and Roll) Review

Bell Edge Youth Bicycle Helmet (Blue Rock and Roll)
Average Reviews:

Yeah. So I didn't notice the (BLUE rock and roll) in the title. Very tricky. This item took almost a month to get to me. It arrived in a box that was bashed up (FedEx fault?) either way, there was no packing material to protect the product. I wish I didn't buy it. I haven't used the helmet so please don't base the safety of the helmet on this review. I put it on, it seems comfortable, but I bought it for my son to use in a couple years. Because I thought it was black and silver. They really should change that picture...

Giro Ionos Road Bike Helmet Review

Giro Ionos Road Bike Helmet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is an excellent helmet and it works too. I gave it a crash test last month when I was hit by a car (I was doing 25 mph) and hit my head hard on the asphalt. The helmet didn't break or crack and I didn't suffer any type of head injuries. I was so impressed, I replaced it with the same model. The fit is great and I wore it on a 200 mile one day ride without any discomfort. It isn't a cheap helmet, but what kind of price do you put on your life?
The Garmin color isn't bad either.

The Ionos is the most technologically advanced road cycling helmet Giro has ever created. The Ionos is built around a proprietary in-mold composite sub-frame (ICS) that provides the strength to support 21 of the largest vents ever carved into a bike helmet. These massive vents, coupled with an intricate network of internal channels, creates a cooling system dubbed Wind Tunnel ventilation, making Ionos the coolest, best-ventilated helmet on the market. The helmet is perfect for keeping Grand Tour champions like Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador cool on the hottest days and over the most tortuous Alpine climbs.
Ionos Technologies The Ionos helmet employs some of the most advanced technologies that Giro has ever used in a bike helmet. The Ionos' in-mold construction, for example, fuses the helmet's outer shell with the impact-absorbing EPS liner. Not only does this reinforce both layers, but the "exoskeleton" also allows Giro to engineer helmets that are lighter, more durable, and better ventilated. This culminates in the helmet's proprietary Wind Tunnel ventilation system, which combines active vents with internal exhaust channels that thrust cool, fresh air over and around the rider's head while forcing heat and stale air out. By definition, a channel is a route through which anything passes or progresses. In the case of Giro helmets, the internal channels are carefully crafted and are one of the keys to a well-ventilated helmet. This significant increase in air channeling makes a difference that riders will feel immediately.
The secret behind the vent technology is the in-mold composite subframe, which lets Giro offer huge vents without compromising protection. The Ionos features a visible weave of carbon reinforcement that runs through the helmet's liner and around the vents. By using these advanced materials, the sub-frame can be tuned to provide incredible structural support, impact dispersion, and resistance to penetration.
Padding and Fit The Ionos offers X-Static helmet padding, which is entwined with an environmentally friendly silver-coated fabric called Silver Fiber. Found exclusively in Ionos helmets, the fabric provides anti-microbial and thermodynamic benefits, so in addition to keeping you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, your helmet will stay fresh all year round. Finally, the Ionos helmet is engineered using Super Fit technology, making it so comfortable that it virtually disappears when you put it on. The proprietary three-size Super Fit system is based on "human scale factors" data and nearly 20 years of crafting helmets for the best riders in the world. The result is a helmet that fits 98 percent of the world's population, yet looks and feels like it was made just for you.
About Giro Giro, based in Scotts Valley, California, is a worldwide leader in the design, development, and marketing of premium, high-performance protective gear and accessories for action sports and active lifestyles. Giro is an innovative, consumer-focused brand, with a mission to create products on the leading edge of inspired design to help you to look good and feel your best.

Bell Faction Allan Cooke Multi-Sport Helmet Review

Bell Faction Allan Cooke Multi-Sport Helmet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this helmet online, because I was unable to find anything I liked in local sporting goods stores. I commute to work by bicycle, and this helmet offers good protection, and a comfortable fit. This is a multi-sport helmet as opposed to a standard bicycle helmet. With any helmet, you will get a case of "helmet hair", and this product is no exception, but that is the price you have to pay for safety. I like the style and green color of this helmet, even if I do feel a bit like an Israeli commando every time I put it on. If you spend any time on a bicycle, a good helmet is absolutely essential gear, and I recommend this helmet very highly.

Bern Nina Summer Youth Multi-Sport Helmet Review

Bern Nina Summer Youth Multi-Sport Helmet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product appears to be good quality, until you try to change the attachment. It comes with two attachments, one for snow sport and one for biking. The snow sport attachment is fuzzy and warm, covers the entire ear. The biking attachment is simply soft padding between the head and the helmet.
The attachments are designed to snap onto the helmet via four snap buttons. These buttons need to snap into button holes drilled directly on the plastic helmet. The holes on the helmet seem to have irregular sizes. This means some of the buttons will fit into the holes too loosely and some of them are too tight. The holes that originally fit well turned loose after a few snapping action. I have recently purchased and returned two of these helmets that have exactly the same problem, which leads me to believe that the entire batch of helmets must have similar problems. Plus one of the snap button fell off from the snow attachment altogether when it was unsnapped from a very tight hole. They really should have grommets mounted on the plastic helmet for the buttons to snap into.
All in all, not usable. I gave it two star because besides the snap button issues, rest of the helmet appears to be good quality. My kid really like the style. If you can use the thing without ever having to change the attachment, it could be a good purchase. But then maybe you don't need to buy a multisport helmet in that case.

Giro Hex Bike Helmet Review

Giro Hex Bike Helmet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pros:
Air ventilation is truly excellent, fit is snug and comfortable, feels very light, the visor does not chatter in the wind, the helmet's design is fairly stylish.
Cons:
The straps often need to be pushed away from the back of my ears, the rubber part of "overmolded arm" on the RocLoc system inside the helmet interferes with the back tips of my glasses. The helmet is used mainly for my daily commute. The RocLoc system makes the helmet fit well but at the expense of not being able to wear sunglasses comfortably. I wanted to try the Giro brand after I wore out my excellent Bell X-Ray helmet. When this Giro Hex wears out I will replace it with a new Bell X-Ray.

This helmet is awesome! Fit is excellent if you pre-measure your head or try one on at the dealer. Nice style, coverage, and very good air-flow. I took a HUGE spill off my bike this past weekend.....a sweet superman over the bars and the first thing to hit the rocks was this helmet. I put a nice dent in the outside, cracked the helmet all the way through, but I got up and walked away with not even a headache. The helmet is finished, but my head is totally intact so I can ride another day. It did exactly what it was designed to do. Plus, if you break your helmet under normal use, Giro will kick you down 30% off of a new one. Not a bad deal when it saves your head!

This is a very comfortable helmet with a nice fit. Most of the helmets you'll find in this price range don't fit well. Believe me, I've tried a number of them. But this one fits me great.
One small piece of advice: It has a more rounded appearance from the front than most bike helmets do. So if you don't like the thought of a "round" look when someone's looking at you straight on, this might not be the helmet for you.

Bell Toddler Boy's Bicycle Helmet, Knee Pads, and Elbow Pads Value Pack (Blue Hang 10) Review

Bell Toddler Boy's Bicycle Helmet, Knee Pads, and Elbow Pads Value Pack (Blue Hang 10)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 3 year old son loves this helmet and pads set. It fits him well and is adjustable as he grows. The only issue that we have with it is that the adhesive on the pads inside extends to the sides, so his hair always got stuck to it and pulled when he took it off. We did end up replacing the pads with some we purchased from a local bike store. He thinks the surfer dog is funny and it's never an issue getting him to put it on when he wants to go skating. The elbow and knee pads are not as well made as the helmet and only the circle with the picture on it really offers any protection. Still, I haven't found a better set yet that he'll actually wear and I don't figure that he'll be all that aggressive with his gear just yet anyway. For a three year old, it serves its purpose well.

This is a very good bell for the price. My two complaints for it:
1) It only realistically goes on the left handlebar. Putting it on the right doesn't seem to allow for easy bell ringing.
2) If I leave my bike out in the rain and the bell gets wet, it doesn't want to work unless I "ring" it out about 10 times.
