(More customer reviews)I have owned three AV-1 over the last 15 years and have probably logged over 2,000 dives since I started diving. These scooters are both practical and fun. They can even get you out of a sticky situation from time to time. I rarely dive without one of my scooters these days as I have grown so accustomed to them. They are extremely durable and easy to operate. I dive in south Florida and typically dive between 8'-150' in high current drift dives. The AV-1 is simple and a great tool for these dives when lobstering. The AV-2 Evo has a longer burn time and comes with a saddle for hands free diving. The AV-2 also has a battery life indicator which consists of a three color LED on the nose of the cover.
Plus:
durable
improves bottom time (reduce air consumption)
cover way more bottom
no more CO2 headaches!
improves safety (if used correctly)
Negative:
cost between $1900 - $3800 depending on model (but worth it)
requires some mechanical know how
DO NOT USE FOR ASCENT!!!
Your friends will want to borrow it all the time!
Tips:
attach a SS snap clip to front handle for drift line with hook
make a cradle for transporting in truck or boat (they roll and slide)
keep o-rings clean and lubed
don't let friends borrow it - they will break it or not give it back!
keep battery full charged
get the NiMh battery - you will be happy you did!

(More customer reviews)This is a nice good quality study cable which is the perfect size to secure your seat without being in the way. You can attach it to your bike in such a way so it will wrap around itself and the seat and not need an additional lock. The diagram is on the planet bike plastic tag attached to the cable when you receive it. I live in the city and I hate the thought of coming out to get my bike and the seat is gone. This is cheap insurance against that happening.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this helmet online, because I was unable to find anything I liked in local sporting goods stores. I commute to work by bicycle, and this helmet offers good protection, and a comfortable fit. This is a multi-sport helmet as opposed to a standard bicycle helmet. With any helmet, you will get a case of "helmet hair", and this product is no exception, but that is the price you have to pay for safety. I like the style and green color of this helmet, even if I do feel a bit like an Israeli commando every time I put it on. If you spend any time on a bicycle, a good helmet is absolutely essential gear, and I recommend this helmet very highly.

I wasn't very certain that it would be sturdy, etc because it is so inexpensive. But I am pleasantly surprised. However, the only reason that I am rating this four stars is that it took me three hours to put together. The directions are extremely hard to follow.

(More customer reviews)This bike is not cheap. It's not cheap like a Mercedes isn't cheap. It's not cheap like a Lexus isn't cheap. It's not cheap because they have taken the time and used the materials necessary to build a bike that is going to make a lasting impression on every kid who rides it and every kid who sees it driving by.
Basically this bike is wonderful. It has spring suspension, an LED light and steel framing and materials. The gears and such seem strong and reliable. The paint looks (and feels) to be all powdercoating and real chroming (though it could be stainless steel). The main attraction is, of course, the styling and it looks as good in person as it seems to look on Amazon. I'm not sure if eventually replacing the white tires when they eventually wear down might be an issue, but that's about the only negative thing I could see about it.

Shimano PD-M424 SPD Pedal (9/16-Inch, Black/Silver) Review

(More customer reviews)I agree with a couple of other reviews. These are called dual use and it says you don't need to clip in. This is true. I agree that it is not as comfortable to ride when you aren't clipped in (I actually use a softer shoe when I don't clip in and I'm just running a quick errand). These are heavy but I don't notice that on my mountain bike.
I like being able to clip in on both sides so I can just step on my pedals and go and if you are like me then this is probably for you. If you don't mind making sure the pedal is on the proper side then you might be happier with a different pedal.
I find it MUCH easier to unclip by turning my heel in and have to adjust the pedals nearly as loose as possible.
