Barbie 16-Inch Bike Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I went to assemble this bike (supposed to take 15 minutes -- ha!). Trouble was, the fork for the front tire didn't fit the tire properly. After doing some research, calling Dynacraft (which makes the Barbie bike) and talking to our local bike shop, I found out that this is a common problem with Dynacraft bikes.
The company blamed it on the shippers and said the fork probably got bent in the shipping process. Maybe ... but all they could do was suggest I return the bike for a new one ... or they could send me a replacement part -- one that WOULDN'T MATCH the current bike.
Yeah, right, like I'm gonna do that. It's five days before Christmas, so I bit the bullet and took it to the bike shop. For $35, they fixed the problem in less than an hour and did a check on the entire bike.
Do yourself a favor -- go to a bike shop and pay the extra few bucks for a bike that you know is safe and assembled correctly (and not just by someone at a toy store).
I'll be doing that next time.
