(More customer reviews)After 3 hours of normal sledding with both adults and kids 11 and under, the Flexible Flyer Snow Screamers took a surprising amount of damage. The bottom plastic panel started to pull apart from the foam body around the edges and one of my two sleds even had a long gash through the bottom in to the foam. Also the decorated top plastic layer started to peel away around the edges. That said, I like how these sleds feel to ride and steer, but it seems they need to be better built for the price.

The kids like the metal sled because it goes faster and the rocks don't hit their butts like it does through plastic. I was so happy I was able to find these metal saucers. The bottom (which you can't see in the picture) is open and you can either hold it upside down and put snow in it like a bucket to build your blocks, or you can simply press it into the snow on the ground -- it's very easy.
We purchased a couple of these as well as several of the matching red plastic Flexible Flyer Snowball Maker for our boys and the kids in our neighborhood for Christmas -- when the snow comes they have great times building forts and having snowball wars :) We recommend this combination for outdoor winter fun.
A great amount of fun for a surprisingly small amount of money.
