(More customer reviews)my daughter got this for christmas when she was 4 1/2. she loved riding it around our house on hardwood floors, but once she felt comfortable enough to go outside she was disappointed. basically, no matter how much you walk before hopping on, it doesn't go anywhere. it is very very safe for a beginner though. my almost 3year old is now using it and is getting a little bored when her big sister is running circles around her on her barbie scooter and she isn't getting a 'ride' no matter how hard she works -not even on an incline! also, the bearings are NOT replaceable, so even though it's adorable you can't speed it up.
