(More customer reviews)This basket is very cute. It looks good on my bike, and is large enough for my needs. I live in a rural area, so I don't bike to the store. I like to have a basket for my purse, something to read, maybe a snack. This is more than large enough for my needs. If you were going to grocery shop, not ideal, would hold about as much as a plastic grocery bag. Leather straps buckle and unbuckle so it would be easy to take your basket with you. The bottom of the basket is wood, so nothing falls out. I like mine very much.

(More customer reviews)This basket does exactly what it says, quick release, and rediculously easy to attach to my rack. The smaller weave than its axiom counterpart is what made me decide to try this one, and its great. I love the look, ease, and sturdiness of this basket.
Highly Reccommend.
I only wish that eleven81 made a front quick release rattan-look counterpart to match.
A quick amendment: I ordered the axiom rattan look QR front basket, and it matches PERFECTLY!

(More customer reviews)Although this is a nice looking, sturdy basket, the velcro is not long enough for any bicycles with adjustable speed and brake cables running around the front and to the back of the bike. This basket is strictly for single-speed bicycles that have regular sized handlebars to accomodate the short velcro straps.

Kettler Rear Bicycle Basket Review

(More customer reviews)The Kettler Rear Bicycle Basket has some problems. Primarily, the spot welds wear out over time. After 3 months of daily use (mostly groceries, about 5-10 Lbs), the welds which connect the bottom brackets to the basket itself simply wore out--the brackets are the lower handles shown in the picture provided by Amazon. Now, there is no way to attach the basket to my bicycle rack. I believe the bumps and vibrations of my daily ride slowly weakened these welds to the point that they detached. The basket had other problems as well (over uneven pavement, it would occasionally fly off and tumble into the street), but the poor welding is what ultimately rendered the basket totally unworkable.
I would not recommend this basket.

(More customer reviews)I bought this basket about six months ago to use on the bike I ride into campus. I usually put about 10 pounds of stuff into it (a 5 lb computer, bag, and maybe a book or two). I am now looking to replace the basket. The problem is that there is only one real area of attachment/connection with the bicycle -- at the top where there is a bracket connecting the basket to the bike. So if you put something weighing more than a couple of pounds in the basket, all of the weight is on that top bracket, causing the basket to tip forward (it's tipped so far forward a couple of times that it's actually *dropped* my bag with my computer in it!). If you'll notice with other baskets there is usually a point of contact with the bike not only at the top but also at the bottom of the basket...this ensures that the basket doesn't tip and can actually support the weight of the contents of the basket. That this basket lacks that second point of contact is, in my experience, a serious drawback.
I'd say that if you need a basket to carry very light things - perhaps a towel and a gym bottle, or some light produce or something, then this is a perfectly fine basket. But if you need it to carry anything at all substantial (more than about 5-7 pounds) then look elsewhere.

Disney Princess Basket Review

This is a cute plastic woven basket that appears to be quite durable. Attaching the basket was a little difficult simply because I wanted to leave the foam bumper thing on the handlebar (the soft thing wrapped around the top middle portion of the handlebars with characters on it -- don't know the actual name of that thing). That meant I needed to wrap the ties farther out or around the bumper; and either way, it was a stretch. If I had removed the bumper, there wouldn't have been any problem.
My daughter likes it all for looks. She doesn't put anything in it; but the bike doesn't have a kickstand, so it gets thrown on the ground a lot. Still, the basket has remained intact and it looks great.
