(More customer reviews)I bought my 17" Men's Nirve Starliner from Amazon, on sale, way below the list price. The package arrived on time, and was in very good condition.Parts were carefully packed and undamaged. One lock-nut was missing and was easily replaced. Everything went together easily; though the brake assembly was not the type pictured in the assembly booklet and I had to go online at the Nirve website to download the correct instructions to adjust them. Once assembled, it differed from the product picture in three respects -- the seat does not have chromed springs, but black rubber bushings; the tires are blackwall, not gumwall; and the derailleur gear was not painted red. Otherwise exactly as pictured.
The bike is a pleasure to ride. Solid feel. The seat is basic and might need an upgrade, but otherwise there's been no need to change things. Shifting is easy and reliable, though there's a big step between 1st and 2nd, and between 6th and 7th; otherwise the gears are nicely spaced. All in all a great deal, a very good bike. Highly recommended.

Whether you're meandering around your beach community or commuting to work each morning, the Nirve Starliner men's hybrid cruiser bike is an excellent choice. The Starliner sports an aluminum Sport Cruiser frame and lightweight, easy-rolling alloy 700c wheels, making it extremely sturdy but light enough to lift onto a hitch-mounted bike rack. The Shimano Mega-Range seven-speed transmission, meanwhile, accommodates several types of terrain, from moderate hills to flat streets.
Perhaps the best feature, however, is the Sport Cruiser handlebars, which help you ride upright for the ultimate in comfort. Other details include a Nirve comfort saddle with springs, impact-resistant polycarbonate fenders, and an alloy kickstand. The Starliner carries a three-year warranty on the aluminum frame and a one-year warranty on the components.
